Each year the Texas Institute of Letters, a not-for-profit literary honor society celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2026, awards more than $25,000 to recognize outstanding literary works in several categories. We also award a $9,000 fellowship to a working writer.
The submissions periods for the awards and the fellowship open in October, and we'll announce the winners in March. Sign up here to be notified when we begin accepting entries for our upcoming awards and to be among the first to learn who won.
